Tash & Alex’s Jewish Summer Wedding at Woodhall Estate
Some weddings feel like pure energy captured in a moment, and Tash and Alex’s summer wedding at Woodhall Estate in Hertfordshire was precisely that. From their Jewish ceremony's heartfelt traditions to the dance floor's electric energy, their wedding was a vibrant, emotion-filled day, made even more special by their love for film photography.
Tash & Alex’s Jewish Summer Wedding at Woodhall Estate
Wedding mornings are always filled with excitement and anticipation, but for Tash, it was even more poignant—having spent time back at her family home, she was about to meet her fiancé down the aisle, having not seen him for over a week.
On the wedding morning, the bridal suite was filled with laughter, final preparations, and beautiful details, including the bright pastel bouquets by Blue Sky Flowers, bound with silk blue ribbons. As always, Annie’s presence went beyond photography—offering guidance, calming nerves, and helping with last-minute logistics. She has years of experience and knows exactly how to step in when needed.
Tash wore a timeless Ellie Sanderson tulle gown, moving with sheer elegance as she made her way to the ceremony. Her bridesmaids, dressed in matching pale blue ruffled dresses, shared quiet moments and exchanged big smiles with her before the day truly began.
A Garden Ceremony Under The Chuppah
Held in the Walled Gardens of Woodhall Estate, the ceremony was a heartfelt reflection of Jewish wedding traditions. Having not seen each other for a week prior, the moment Alex unveiled Tash before the chuppah was one of pure emotion, filled with love, meaning, and a lot of anticipation.
Their chuppah was a true masterpiece—crafted from real flowers, delicate yet dramatic against the estate’s manicured greenery. Jewish weddings are always rich in meaning, and this one was no exception—from the circling of the groom to the shared sip of wine, every part of the ceremony felt deeply personal. And then, with a resounding smash of the glass, the celebration began!
A Whirlwind of Celebration & A Vintage Escape
Following the ceremony, stepping away for a moment of stillness, Alex and Tash drove a vintage car through the golden-hour-lit estate while we captured some of the more intimate portraits of the day. This was also their moment to breathe, to reflect, and to revel in the fact that they were finally married!
Jewish weddings are known for their high-energy, joyful dancing, and this one did not disappoint. As soon as Tash and Alex entered the marquee, their guests erupted into Israeli dancing, spending the rest of the evening taking turns on the dance floor and lifting them into the air as part of the spirited hora dance.
A Stylish Marquee Reception
The reception was held beneath a classic marquee adorned with greenery, soft candlelight, and shades of green woven through every detail. In fact, it was the perfect reflection of their wedding style—elegant yet effortlessly relaxed.
The night unfolded from here: speeches full of laughter and love, bursts of dancing between courses, and endless glasses raised in celebration. Their first dance set the tone for the party that followed—an evening that felt unfiltered, vibrant, and just overflowing with love.
Capturing The Unstaged And Unscripted With Film Photography
Tash and Alex told us they were drawn to film photography and the energy of flash photography, both of which perfectly suited the atmosphere of their day. Film captured the intimate moments, while flash photography elevated the high-energy dance floor shots.
We love this day and believe every image holds an authenticity that feels timeless yet utterly them. When looking through their gallery, we hope you don’t just see a wedding—we hope you also feel the tangible joy, the movement, and the energy of the day.
